Harassment or threatNewport Path StationOctober 1, 2026Not reported to police
In their own words
During the evening rush hour at the Newport PATH station, I saw a man in front of me harassing another man, accusing him of touching him. The other man apologized and explained that he hadn't touched him at all, but the harasser kept going, telling him in a racist manner, "We don't do this in America." Eventually, the harasser even took a picture of him on his phone. In a crowded public place like a train station, it's normal for someone's hand to brush against you unintentionally. That doesn't give anyone the right to keep harassing the other person or take their picture. I would be really scared if something like that happened to me.
